About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee secure cyber systems for classified defense programs, ensuring compliance with Top Secret security requirements.
- Lead threat modeling, risk assessment, and vulnerability management initiatives across multi‑layered network environments.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security controls into system design, development, and deployment pipelines.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans, conduct tabletop exercises, and coordinate with security operations centers.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineering teams on secure coding, secure configuration, and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in cyber systems engineering for classified defense or aerospace environments.
- Deep knowledge of threat modeling frameworks, secure architecture principles, and network security technologies.
- Proficiency in security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners) and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with a track record of delivering secure solutions.
- Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain) and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
