Sr. Generative AI Consultant - SAS to PySpark Modernization - Cognizant

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop agentic AI systems that automatically convert legacy SAS code to PySpark, ensuring high accuracy and compliance with actuarial standards.
• Build and orchestrate multi‑agent workflows leveraging large language models (LLMs) to validate, test, and optimize converted code.
• Collaborate with data engineers, AI specialists, and business stakeholders to define modernization roadmaps and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines for automated code transformation and validation.
• Document best practices, create reusable templates, and provide technical guidance to cross‑functional teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with deep expertise in PySpark and SAS.
• Proven track record building generative AI solutions, including LLM‑based code generation and validation.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with modern ML/AI frameworks.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Effective communication skills and experience mentoring junior team members.
