Sr GenAI Engineer - VectorDBand PostgreSQL - HCLTech

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy generative AI solutions using large language models and advanced prompt engineering techniques.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs in Python frameworks (Flask, Django, FastAPI) to expose LLM capabilities to internal and external services.
• Architect and integrate vector databases (e.g., PostgreSQL with vector extensions) for efficient similarity search and retrieval.
• Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to refine model prompts, evaluate performance, and iterate on solution design.
• Ensure code quality, scalability, and security through best practices, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Python development and API design.
• Deep knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, and generative AI workflows.
• Proficiency with Flask, Django, or FastAPI and experience building production‑grade APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with vector databases and PostgreSQL, including vector extensions.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently, and excellent communication.
