Security Engineer
Senior Endpoint and Security Engineer responsible for protecting federal IT infrastructure, managing endpoint security, and ensuring operational excellence with advanced cybersecurity practices and data operations expertise.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of endpoint security solutions across federal networks.
- Implement and manage security controls, vulnerability assessments, and patch management for mission‑critical systems.
- Collaborate with operations and quality teams to develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Analyze security incidents, conduct root‑cause investigations, and recommend remediation strategies.
- Document and report security metrics, compliance status, and improvement plans to senior leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in endpoint security and cybersecurity operations within a federal or defense environment.
- Proficiency with endpoint management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Endpoint Manager, SCCM, Intune) and security tools (e.g., EDR, SIEM).
- Strong understanding of federal security frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP, DoD Cybersecurity Maturity Model).
- Experience with data operations, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
