Lead data science initiatives in healthcare, driving analytics on Medicaid and CHIP datasets using Python, SQL, and AWS to uncover insights, optimize enrollment performance, and support evidence‑based decision making.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end data analysis on Medicaid and CHIP domains, including Eligibility, Enrollment Performance Indicators, TAF, Behavioral Health, and Expenditures.
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines on AWS, ensuring data quality, governance, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Apply machine learning techniques to predict enrollment trends, identify fraud, and optimize resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate analytical findings into actionable business strategies.
- Mentor junior analysts and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data science or data engineering within healthcare or public sector environments.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue, SageMaker).
- Strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization.
- Experience with Medicaid/CHIP datasets and familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex analytics into clear business insights.
