Software Engineer
Senior SQL SSAS Developer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining SSAS cubes using ANSI SQL in an Agile environment, implementing CI/CD pipelines and dimensional modeling best practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy SSAS tabular and multidimensional models using ANSI SQL and DAX.
- Implement Agile practices: sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand‑ups to deliver incremental data solutions.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for SSAS projects, ensuring automated testing, version control, and continuous deployment.
- Apply dimensional modeling techniques (star, snowflake) to optimize query performance and support business reporting.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust data models.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL development.
- Strong knowledge of ANSI SQL, DAX, and MDX.
- Proven experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins).
- Hands‑on experience in dimensional modeling and performance tuning.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate complex concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
