Software Engineer
Lead advanced spectral imaging research, analyze complex physical phenomena, and drive R&D programs using physics expertise and machine learning to deliver innovative solutions for security and defense challenges.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, conduct, and analyze experiments on spectral imaging systems to uncover physical phenomena and validate new technologies.
- Lead R&D initiatives, defining project scope, milestones, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with client objectives.
- Develop and implement advanced data‑analysis pipelines, incorporating machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights from large spectral datasets.
- Mentor and supervise junior scientists and engineers, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance team environment.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and publications for internal stakeholders and external clients.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in spectral imaging, physics research, or related fields.
- Strong background in physics, optics, and signal processing with proven analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in programming (Python, MATLAB) and experience applying machine learning to scientific data.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Security clearance or ability to obtain one is required.
