Design and implement high‑scale, secure database solutions on AWS, guiding customers through migration, optimization, and architecture to solve complex data management challenges.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with enterprise customers to assess, design, and deploy scalable database architectures on AWS services such as RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
- Lead end‑to‑end migration projects, including lift‑and‑shift, re‑platforming, and data modernization initiatives.
- Perform deep performance analysis and tuning to ensure optimal latency, throughput, and cost efficiency.
- Develop proof‑of‑concepts, reference architectures, and best‑practice guides that address high‑availability, security, and compliance requirements.
- Mentor internal teams and customers on cloud‑native data strategies, automation, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, or managing relational and NoSQL databases at scale.
- Strong expertise with AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift) and associated networking, security, and monitoring tools.
- Proven track record of successful database migrations and performance optimization projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for diverse stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Database – Specialty) are a plus.
