Systems Engineer
Technical lead responsible for end‑to‑end spacecraft development, driving requirements, interface control, design maturity, and verification across propulsion, structures, avionics, software, and mission operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical development of high‑delta‑V spacecraft from concept through flight delivery.
- Define and manage system requirements, interface control documents, and design maturity across propulsion, structures, avionics, and software.
- Lead verification and validation activities, ensuring compliance with mission performance and safety standards.
- Coordinate cross‑disciplinary teams, acting as the primary technical point of contact for mission operations and integration.
- Drive trade studies, risk assessments, and design reviews to optimize performance and schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of spacecraft systems experience.
- Hands‑on expertise in propulsion systems, structural analysis, avionics hardware, and embedded software development.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex interface requirements.
- Experience with verification & validation processes, design reviews, and risk management for flight hardware.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to make technical decisions under schedule pressure.
