Implementation Engineer
Design, test, and operate spacecraft subsystems while integrating hardware and software components using C++, Python, MATLAB, and model‑based systems engineering on Linux platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute spacecraft operational procedures, including checkout, launch, on‑orbit, and de‑orbit phases.
- Integrate avionics, payload, and ground‑segment software using C++ and Python, ensuring compliance with mission requirements.
- Model, simulate, and validate system performance with MATLAB/Simulink and model‑based systems engineering tools.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot anomalies, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain configuration control and documentation for hardware, software, and interface specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in spacecraft operations, systems integration, or related aerospace projects.
- Proficiency in C++, Python, and MATLAB for algorithm development and data analysis.
- Hands‑on experience with Linux environments and version‑control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with model‑based systems engineering (e.g., SysML, MBSE tools) and aerospace standards.
