QA Engineer
Design, execute, and evaluate test programs for space vehicles, leveraging MATLAB, Python, and C++ to validate avionics, propulsion, and structural performance for national security and NASA missions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans for spacecraft subsystems, including avionics, propulsion, and structures.
- Configure, calibrate, and operate test instrumentation and data acquisition systems to capture high‑fidelity performance metrics.
- Write and maintain automated test scripts and analysis tools in MATLAB, Python, and C++ to process and interpret test data.
- Collaborate with engineering, mission, and program teams to troubleshoot anomalies, refine test procedures, and ensure compliance with mission requirements.
- Document test results, generate technical reports, and present findings to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in space vehicle or aerospace test engineering, including hands‑on work with test hardware and data acquisition.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and C++ for test automation and data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of avionics, propulsion, and structural testing methodologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills in a collaborative, mission‑focused environment.
