Systems Engineer
Design and integrate advanced space system architectures, applying model‑based engineering, C++/MATLAB development, and AI/ML techniques while maintaining required security clearance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the integration of subsystems for space platforms, ensuring compliance with mission requirements and performance specifications.
- Develop and maintain system models using Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools to support design, verification, and validation activities.
- Implement and test software components in C++ and MATLAB, collaborating with hardware and algorithm teams to achieve seamless functionality.
- Apply AI/ML and data‑fusion techniques to enhance sensor processing and autonomous capabilities of the system.
- Coordinate cross‑functional reviews, generate technical documentation, and support risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in space systems engineering and subsystem integration.
- Proficiency with MBSE tools (e.g., SysML, MagicDraw) and strong programming skills in C++ and MATLAB; Python experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work in secure environments and hold an active security clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary setting.
