About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end systems engineering for space missions, defining architecture, interfaces, and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate hardware, firmware, and software components into cohesive flight‑ready systems.
- Develop and execute rigorous test plans, including hardware‑in‑the‑loop and flight‑simulator validation, to ensure reliability and safety.
- Analyze system performance data, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to meet stringent mission timelines.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or related field).
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering for space or defense platforms.
- Proficiency in embedded software development (C/C++), requirements management, and test automation.
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of solving complex integration challenges.
- Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one within 90 days.
