Software Engineer
Design, build, and test complex electromechanical space instruments, supporting integration and verification activities while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑performance measurement systems.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, assemble, and qualify electromechanical hardware for space‑based and ground‑based measurement instruments.
- Execute integration and test (I&T) procedures, including functional, environmental, and performance testing.
- Create and modify mechanical designs using CAD tools such as SolidWorks to meet mission requirements.
- Develop test automation scripts and hardware interfaces, leveraging LabVIEW and related instrumentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and vendors to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
- Document design reviews, test results, and configuration changes in compliance with quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with relevant hands‑on experience.
- Proficiency in electromechanical assembly, integration, and verification of complex instrumentation.
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks) and test automation tools (LabVIEW, Python or similar).
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of space‑qualified materials, standards, and environmental testing practices.
