A Solutions Engineer focused on architecture will design and implement Cisco networking solutions for SMB and Mid‑Market customers, leveraging cloud platforms, automation scripts, and API integrations to drive business outcomes.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design end‑to‑end network and security architectures that align with customer business goals and Cisco best practices.
- Collaborate with global sales and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable, cloud‑enabled solutions.
- Develop proof‑of‑concepts, demos, and technical documentation using Python scripts and API integrations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and partners throughout the sales cycle.
- Stay current on emerging networking, cloud, and automation technologies to continuously improve solution offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience in network solution design.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco routing, switching, security, and SD‑WAN technologies.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and automation using Python and RESTful APIs.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently in a remote US environment while collaborating across global teams.
