Solutions Architect, Financial Systems - PURE Insurance

We are seeking an experienced technology leader to lead the architecture and technical direction of PURE's Finance technology portfolio. Reporting to the Finance Divisional Information Officer (DIO), you will lead the architecture, technical strategy, and engineering direction for a portfolio that includes Billing, Payments, Accounting, Reinsurance, and enterprise financial integrations. This is a highly visible leadership role that combines technology strategy, enterprise architecture, people leadership, and business partnership. You'll work alongside Finance and technology leaders to modernize critical platforms, elevate engineering excellence, and help define how artificial intelligence transforms the way we build, deliver, and operate software. What You'll Do:

Technology Strategy

• Define and execute the multi-year technology vision and architecture roadmap for Finance.
• Partner with Finance leadership to align technology investments with business strategy.
• Guide strategic technology investment decisions by evaluating business value, architectural fit, security, operational risk, total cost of ownership, and long-term sustainability.

Architecture Leadership

• Establish and evolve architecture principles, standards, governance, and reusable design patterns that enable scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
• Lead solution design for strategic initiatives, guiding complex technical decisions and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and long-term technology strategy.
• Provide technical leadership across the Finance technology portfolio by fostering architectural consistency, managing technology risk, and driving engineering best practices.

Engineering Leadership

• Lead a small, high-impact team of engineers and foster a culture of ownership, craftsmanship, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Drive engineering excellence through modern delivery practices, quality metrics, and operational discipline.

Business Partnership

• Partner with Finance, Infrastructure, Security, and Enterprise Architecture leaders to deliver integrated solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and strategic vendor partnerships.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to executive and business audiences.

AI & Modern Engineering

• Lead the responsible adoption of AI across software architecture, development, testing, documentation, and operations.
