Solutions Architect
Solution Architect at Exelab designing custom, high‑performance digital solutions for enterprise clients, leveraging AWS, HubSpot, Twilio, and AI‑driven analytics to enhance customer engagement and streamline business processes.
About Exelab
Exelab is a technology partner for enterprise companies, specializing in custom digital applications that enhance customer engagement, streamline business processes, and enable data-driven decision-making.
We are a HubSpot Elite partner, Twilio Gold partner, and AWS partner. We work with leading brands to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions tailored to their needs—going beyond execution to create measurable value across CRM, marketing automation, AI-driven analytics, and customer experience platforms.
The Solution Architect Role
At Exelab we don't sell off-the-shelf products: we build custom solutions, treating every client engagement as a mini product cycle. The Solution Architect is a senior full stack engineer with broader responsibility: the technical owner of the engagement, accountable end-to-end for one or more parallel projects, and still hands-on in the codebase.
Our stack is polyglot by design: NodeJS and Python are first-class backend languages and the Solution Architect is expected to be fluent in both. Python in particular plays a central role across data integrations, automations, and AI/ML workflows—a meaningful share of what we ship has Python at its core.
In our delivery framework, the Solution Architect works in a duo with the Value Builder:
Value Builder → owns business value, client outcomes, product direction
Solution Architect → owns solution design, technical feasibility, delivery quality
The two roles are peers. The partnership between them is what makes our engagements work.
Key Responsibilities
Solution design — translate business problems into well-architected technical solutions, balancing time-to-value, scalability, and maintainability
Project technical ownership — full accountability for the technical outcome of one or more projects in parallel
Hands-on engineering — build full stack applications across NodeJS, Python, React/TypeScript, and AWS, staying close to the code
AI-assisted engineering leadership — be a power user of modern AI coding tools and agentic workflows, and help the team adopt them
Engineering standards — set and uphold standards on testing, CI/CD, observability, and IaC (AWS CDK)
Cross-functional collaboration — work in continuous dialogue with the Value Builder, Project Managers, and partner specialists
