Software Engineer
Entry‑level Software Tester responsible for designing and executing manual test cases, tracking defects, and performing functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing to ensure application quality and reliability.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze software requirements and functional specifications to create comprehensive manual test cases.
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, and sanity tests on web and mobile applications.
- Identify, log, and track defects using defect‑tracking tools, ensuring clear communication with developers.
- Collaborate with senior QA engineers and developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
- Prepare test execution reports, test summary documents, and maintain test artifacts.
Requirements
- 1+ year of hands‑on experience in manual software testing or a related internship.
- Proficiency in designing test cases and performing functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and basic test documentation.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to follow QA processes.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to work closely with developers and senior testers.
