We're looking for a QA Engineer focused on designing and building scalable technical solutions. This mid level role requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
About the role
Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and desktop applications.
Perform manual functional, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using modern automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, WebDriverIO, or similar frameworks.
Validate software against business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution using defect management tools.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project teams to ensure software quality throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release readiness activities.
Execute regression testing before software releases to ensure application stability.
Improve testing processes, standards, and automation coverage to increase efficiency and product quality.
Assist in designing scalable automation frameworks and reusable test assets.
Communicate testing progress, results, and quality metrics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Stay current with emerging testing tools, technologies, and industry best practices.
4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including manual testing and/or test automation.
At least one year of hands-on experience with Playwright or another Node.js-based automation testing tool (such as Cypress or WebDriverIO).
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, testing lifecycle, and SDLC.
Experience creating test plans, test cases, and test strategies from business requirements or user stories.
Experience performing manual functional, smoke, regression, and integration testing.
Experience using defect tracking and test management tools.
Experience with JavaScript and Node.js-based automation tools preferred.
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a development team.
Experience with Playwright.
Experience testing web, desktop, and API applications.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
