Implementation Engineer
Senior engineer responsible for integrating, configuring, and maintaining commercial and government off‑the‑shelf software across Linux, UNIX, and Windows HPC environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and seamless operation of mission‑critical applications.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, and maintain COTS and GOTS applications on heterogeneous Linux, UNIX, and Windows platforms supporting large‑scale HPC workloads.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement tuning measures to meet strict reliability and availability targets.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and deployment pipelines to streamline software roll‑outs and patch management.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure seamless interoperability across the enterprise HPC ecosystem.
- Document integration procedures, configuration standards, and operational runbooks for knowledge transfer and compliance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience integrating and supporting software in Linux, UNIX, and Windows environments, preferably within HPC or scientific computing contexts.
- Strong knowledge of COTS and GOTS software lifecycle management, including licensing, version control, and security compliance.
- Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) and automation tools for configuration management.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose performance issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement optimization strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for cross‑functional teamwork.
