Support Experiences is a product group at Meta focused on building exceptional support experiences for over 3 billion people across the family of apps. This role involves contributing to teams that develop products enabling user interaction with Meta's support, and automating support processes through bots and LLM-based automations. Engineers on these teams build products for web and mobile platforms, as well as GenAI infrastructure to assist millions with support issues.
Software Engineering Manager Responsibilities
- Be both highly technical and an effective people manager.
- Work with your team and cross-functional partners to define and influence strategy.
- Drive roadmap creation and execution.
- Participate in technical design.
- Measure the impact of your team and set clear expectations and goals.
- Work effectively with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to set and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Partner with leadership to influence and drive org design, contribution and prioritization.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management building holistic web based software solution, API design, and interactions between servers and clients.
- Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management.
- BA/BS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, 4+ years work experience).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in setting up machine learning pipelines.
- Experience in integrating ML solutions within products and measuring their effectiveness.
