Lead a high‑performing engineering team building a privacy‑focused data protection platform, driving architecture, cloud deployment, and security best practices using Python, Go, AWS, and Kubernetes.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a cross‑functional engineering team responsible for the end‑to‑end data protection platform.
- Define and execute the technical roadmap, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Architect, develop, and maintain core services in Python and Go, deployed on AWS with Kubernetes orchestration.
- Collaborate with product, security, and compliance teams to embed data‑privacy controls and threat‑modeling into the development lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and performance monitoring.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a people‑management or lead role.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Go, and hands‑on experience with AWS services (ECS/EKS, S3, Lambda) and Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of data privacy, security engineering, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001).
- Proven track record of delivering complex, cloud‑native systems at scale.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and ability to foster a collaborative engineering culture.
