About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small, senior backend engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
- Own end‑to‑end delivery, quality, and reliability of trading platform services, ensuring low latency and high availability.
- Participate actively in code reviews, design discussions, and production incident response while maintaining a hands‑on development role.
- Define and enforce architectural standards for distributed, microservice‑based systems built with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with product, data, and infrastructure teams to align technical roadmaps with business goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience, primarily with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Proven track record leading engineering teams in high‑throughput, low‑latency environments, preferably in FinTech or trading.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and reliability engineering practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to handle production incidents, and excellent communication for cross‑functional collaboration.
