About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve a high‑throughput, low‑latency subscription commerce engine that supports Apple Music, Apple TV+, iCloud+, and App Store sales.
- Lead a cross‑functional engineering team, mentoring developers, setting technical direction, and ensuring delivery of scalable, maintainable code.
- Collaborate with product, design, and data science to define feature roadmaps, prioritize backlog, and deliver customer‑centric solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, observability, and automated testing to support rapid, reliable releases.
- Partner with security, compliance, and legal teams to enforce payment, privacy, and regulatory standards across all services.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role managing distributed systems.
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and microservices architecture.
- Proven track record building payment or commerce platforms handling billions of transactions.
- Strong knowledge of iOS/macOS ecosystems and App Store integration.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
