Lead a high‑performing engineering team to design and deliver scalable finance data and analytics platforms, leveraging cloud services, big‑data technologies, and emerging GenAI capabilities.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain cloud‑native data platforms that support real‑time analytics and reporting for finance applications.
- Lead a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
- Drive the integration of big‑data technologies such as Apache Spark and Kafka to enable high‑throughput data pipelines.
- Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Implement DevOps best practices using Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing to ensure reliable releases.
- Explore and prototype Generative AI and machine‑learning features to enhance the analytics lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on data platforms, preferably in financial services.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Python, and solid experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Hands‑on experience designing, deploying, and operating solutions on AWS (or comparable cloud providers).
- Deep knowledge of big‑data frameworks such as Apache Spark and streaming platforms like Kafka.
- Proven leadership skills, including team building, technical mentorship, and delivery of complex projects.
