Senior Python engineer building and operating high‑volume, compliant serverless backends on AWS for a health‑tech revenue‑cycle platform.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python‑based serverless services on AWS, ensuring scalability and reliability for sensitive healthcare data.
- Implement and optimize AWS Lambda functions, API Gateway endpoints, and DynamoDB data models to support high‑throughput processing.
- Collaborate with data, security, and compliance teams to enforce HIPAA‑aligned best practices and audit requirements.
- Automate deployment pipelines using IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform) and CI/CD workflows.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance, cost, and resilience of the serverless architecture.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional experience building production‑grade serverless applications on AWS.
- Strong proficiency in Python, including asynchronous programming and unit testing.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, and related services.
- Familiarity with IaC, CI/CD, and containerization in a serverless context.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a commitment to secure, compliant code in the health‑tech domain.
