Software Engineer
Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining LabVIEW applications that control NASA test facilities and monitor flight hardware, while ensuring compliance with NASA software engineering standards and rigorous testing and verification processes.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement LabVIEW applications for controlling experimental fluids and environmental test equipment at Marshall Space Flight Center.
- Participate in software architecture and application design reviews, producing clear design artifacts aligned with the Task Order Quality Plan.
- Develop, update, and maintain existing LabVIEW code bases, adhering to NASA Procedural Requirements (NPR) 7150.2.
- Create and execute comprehensive test and verification plans to ensure software reliability and safety.
- Document all design, development, and testing activities in accordance with NASA quality and documentation standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing complex LabVIEW applications for test and measurement systems.
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles and ability to produce high‑quality design documentation.
- Hands‑on experience with software testing, verification, and validation processes in regulated environments.
- Familiarity with NASA procedural requirements or similar aerospace standards is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
