Software Engineer
Lead the development of Speechify’s core iOS product, building high‑performance, accessible text‑to‑speech experiences using Swift, AVFoundation, and Core Data to serve millions of users worldwide.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the core iOS application, ensuring smooth, low‑latency text‑to‑speech playback across diverse content types.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate product requirements into scalable, testable Swift code.
- Optimize performance and memory usage, leveraging AVFoundation, Core Data, and modern iOS frameworks.
- Integrate accessibility features (VoiceOver, Dynamic Type) to make the app inclusive for all users.
- Participate in code reviews, continuous integration, and automated testing to uphold high code quality.
Requirements
- 5+ years of iOS development experience with a strong portfolio of production apps.
- Proficiency in Swift, AVFoundation, Core Data, and SwiftUI.
- Deep understanding of iOS performance tuning, memory management, and concurrency.
- Experience with accessibility standards and testing.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for building user‑centric products.
