Software Engineer
Develop and operate self‑healing edge cloud database platforms that monitor, predict, and resolve issues across a massive retail technology ecosystem, using Python, Java, Kubernetes, and AWS.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement edge‑focused database services that automatically detect, diagnose, and remediate performance anomalies.
- Build self‑healing automation pipelines using Python, Java, and cloud native tools.
- Deploy, scale, and manage database workloads on Kubernetes clusters in AWS edge locations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate database platforms with e‑commerce, store, and supply‑chain systems.
- Develop monitoring, alerting, and predictive analytics capabilities to ensure high availability and low latency.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with Python and/or Java in cloud environments.
- Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and AWS services.
- Strong understanding of distributed database architectures, SQL/NoSQL technologies, and performance tuning.
- Proven ability to build automation and self‑healing systems for large‑scale production workloads.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work across multiple domains (e‑commerce, retail, supply chain).
