About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain core components of the BigQuery Trusted Agentic Platform to ensure high availability and low latency.
- Implement scalable data pipelines and query execution paths using SQL and Java within Google Cloud Platform.
- Collaborate with product, security, and reliability teams to define requirements, conduct code reviews, and drive performance optimizations.
- Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively detect and resolve issues in production environments.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, technical documentation, and mentorship of junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on large‑scale data processing or cloud services.
- Strong proficiency in Java and advanced SQL, including query optimization for BigQuery.
- Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform services (e.g., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub) and distributed system design.
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, testable code and to work effectively in cross‑functional agile teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
