Software Engineer

About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, CICS, and JCL.
- Collaborate with product owners and cross‑functional teams in an Agile setting to define requirements and deliver incremental value.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure high‑quality, reliable software.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, providing timely technical support and root‑cause analysis.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including performance tuning and modernization of legacy systems.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of hands‑on experience developing on IBM mainframe platforms.
- Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, CICS, and JCL scripting.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version‑control tools (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
- Effective communication skills for documenting designs and interacting with stakeholders.
