Software Engineer II Embedded - Kearfott Corporation

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test firmware for precision motion control and inertial navigation hardware.
• Implement and maintain real‑time operating system (RTOS) components and drivers.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate and validate sensor interfaces and communication protocols.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to meet stringent quality and safety standards.
• Document design decisions, test plans, and release notes for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3+ years of embedded software development experience in C/C++.
• Strong knowledge of RTOS concepts and real‑time application design.
• Experience with hardware debugging tools (JTAG, logic analyzers) and version control (Git).
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a cross‑functional team.
• Familiarity with aerospace or defense industry standards is a plus.
