Software Engineer
Entry‑level software engineer joining a fast‑moving platform team, building scalable backend services and data pipelines using Java, Python, AWS, and SQL to power core product features.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain microservice‑based backend components for the Topics Core Platform.
- Implement RESTful APIs and data pipelines that integrate with internal and external services.
- Write clean, testable code in Java and Python, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with product, UX, and other engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and performance tuning to ensure high reliability and scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in Java and Python programming languages.
- Experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda) and containerization technologies.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with Git version control and agile development methodologies.
