About the Role

Fever is seeking a talented and passionate Frontend Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in New York. As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. You will collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into high-quality, scalable, and performant web solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using React and Next.js.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
• Implement and consume RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints to integrate with backend services.
• Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability across various devices and browsers.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to architectural guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, identifying and implementing effective solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies, trends, and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Frontend Software Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• In-depth experience with React and its ecosystem (e.g., hooks, context API, Redux).
• Experience with Next.js for server-side rendering and static site generation.
• Solid understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
• Familiarity with modern frontend build pipelines and tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel).
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git and GitHub or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for design handoffs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Bonus Points

• Experience with micro-frontend architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright).
• Contributions to open-source projects.
