As a Software Engineer at Epic Games, you will implement and maintain new features, improve performance, and ensure scalability for global services within the Epic Games Store and Epic Online Services. What We Do
Our team develops and maintains the Epic Games Store, a storefront with a massive global reach across a wide variety of hardware platforms, and the Epic Online Services SDK, a cross-platform set of services to help developers launch and operate their games. We are hiring across the Epic Games Store and Epic Online Services teams. You’ll be working with a diverse team of engineers with varying levels of experience across a wide range of products.
What You’ll Do
- Implement and maintain new features in a large, existing codebase.
- Improve performance, scalability, and reliability for global services.
- Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality features and products.
- Debug and resolve issues across various platforms and services.
- Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong proficiency in C++ and experience with large-scale software development.
- Experience with Unreal Engine is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with debugging, profiling, and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with cross-platform development (PC, Console, Mobile) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
