Software Engineer - Body Controls - Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test body control software for electric vehicle platforms using C++ and Python.
• Integrate AUTOSAR modules and develop CAN bus communication stacks for vehicle subsystems.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to validate firmware on embedded targets and perform real‑time performance tuning.
• Participate in code reviews, continuous integration, and automated testing to ensure high quality and safety compliance.
• Document design decisions, technical specifications, and troubleshooting procedures for cross‑functional teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of embedded software development experience in automotive or related industry.
• Strong proficiency in C++ (C++11/14/17) and Python for scripting and tooling.
• Hands‑on experience with AUTOSAR architecture and CAN bus communication.
• Knowledge of real‑time operating systems, debugging tools, and version control (Git).
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
