About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and scale multiple software engineering teams delivering core Alexa Shopping capabilities.
- Define and execute technical roadmaps for voice‑enabled commerce services, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with product, UX, and data science partners to integrate machine‑learning models and AI features into the shopping experience.
- Drive best‑in‑class software engineering practices, including code quality, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and security compliance.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, provide clear status reporting, and influence cross‑functional decision‑making.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Java, C++ and/or Python.
- 3+ years of proven people‑management experience building and scaling high‑performing engineering teams.
- Deep understanding of cloud services (AWS) and experience designing large‑scale, distributed systems.
- Hands‑on experience with machine‑learning pipelines, voice recognition, or natural language processing technologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
