Software Engineer
Lead the design and operation of scalable live‑sports publishing services on AWS, using Python, Node.js, Docker and Kubernetes to deliver real‑time content to Prime Video users.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain high‑throughput, low‑latency services for live sports catalog ingestion and distribution.
- Design and implement microservices in Python and Node.js, containerized with Docker and orchestrated on Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with data, streaming, and infrastructure teams to integrate new features and optimize performance.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring to ensure reliability and rapid deployment.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing within a cross‑functional team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on scalable web services.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Node.js, with experience building RESTful APIs and event‑driven architectures.
- Hands‑on experience deploying and managing applications on AWS (EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch).
- Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently, and a passion for delivering high‑quality, user‑centric solutions.
