Software Development Engineer, Network Health Service NHS - Amazon Web Services

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑throughput services that assess and report network health across AWS’s global backbone.
• Implement scalable, fault‑tolerant microservices in Python and Go, leveraging AWS infrastructure such as EC2, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
• Collaborate with network operations and core system teams to integrate health metrics into routing and traffic‑engineering workflows.
• Optimize performance and reliability through profiling, automated testing, and continuous integration pipelines.
• Participate in incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem documentation to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems and cloud networking.
