About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and ship scalable, high‑quality mobile features for the Amazon Shopping App on iOS and Android.
- Architect end‑to‑end customer experiences, ensuring seamless integration between client and server components.
- Optimize application performance and resource usage, leveraging multithreading and efficient data handling.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of code quality, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, design, and backend teams to deliver innovative shopping experiences.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with 3+ years focused on multithreaded mobile applications.
- Expertise in Java, Android, iOS (Swift/Kotlin) development and mobile architecture patterns.
- Strong understanding of performance optimization, memory management, and concurrency on mobile platforms.
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS) and integrating mobile apps with backend APIs.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to mentor and lead technical teams.
