About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain petabyte‑scale measurement pipelines that ingest and process 50+ billion events per day.
- Implement event‑driven architectures using AWS services (EMR, DynamoDB, S3) and real‑time processing frameworks such as Spark.
- Develop and integrate machine‑learning models and causal‑inference techniques to generate accurate ad effectiveness metrics.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and advertising engineers to translate scientific experiments into production‑ready measurement solutions.
- Optimize performance, reliability, and cost of large‑scale clusters, ensuring low‑latency delivery of actionable insights.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience in Scala and distributed data processing (Spark, Flink, or similar).
- Deep knowledge of AWS big‑data services, especially EMR, DynamoDB, and S3.
- Hands‑on experience applying machine learning and causal inference methods to large datasets.
- Proven ability to design, debug, and scale event‑driven systems handling petabyte‑scale workloads.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
