Software Engineer
Senior software engineer who defines technical strategy, leads high‑level design, and delivers robust, scalable solutions using Java, Python, microservices and cloud platforms while mentoring peers and influencing product direction.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the technical strategy for complex business problems, selecting appropriate patterns such as push/pull, real‑time vs batch, and synchronous vs asynchronous processing.
- Design high‑level architecture and lead end‑to‑end implementation of scalable microservice solutions on AWS.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional SDEs and stakeholders to align technical decisions with business goals and ensure consistent delivery standards.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering best practices in code quality, testing, and continuous delivery.
- Drive technical and product strategy by proposing innovative approaches and influencing roadmap decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, primarily in Java and/or Python.
- Strong background in designing and operating microservice architectures and distributed systems in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).
- Proven ability to work with minimal guidance, make architectural decisions, and lead implementation efforts.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas, gather feedback, and achieve consensus across diverse teams.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and championing engineering best practices.
