About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑throughput microservices in Java and Python that support Amazon’s financial products and services.
- Implement scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions using AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue) and SQL to enable real‑time financial insights.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define architecture, performance benchmarks, and security compliance for new features.
- Automate deployment and monitoring workflows with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes, ensuring zero‑downtime releases.
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and incident response to maintain system reliability and availability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience in a large, distributed environment.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Python, with experience building microservices on AWS.
- Deep knowledge of SQL, relational and NoSQL databases, and data modeling.
- Hands‑on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, containerization, and cloud monitoring.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to simplify complex problems, and a passion for innovation.
