About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and ship high‑performance features for Amazon's Homepage that serve millions of customers on desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and data scientists to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
- Implement and maintain microservice‑based back‑end components using Java and AWS services (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, S3).
- Build responsive, accessible front‑end experiences with JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS, ensuring fast load times and smooth interactions.
- Write automated unit, integration, and performance tests; participate in code reviews and continuous‑delivery pipelines.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a large‑scale e‑commerce or web‑focused environment.
- Strong proficiency in Java and modern JavaScript frameworks (React or similar).
