About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices that power the end‑to‑end promotions lifecycle, from deal creation to checkout.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and UX teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Implement high‑throughput, low‑latency APIs on AWS, ensuring reliability and fault tolerance across global traffic spikes.
- Optimize data models and query performance in relational databases to support real‑time offer eligibility checks.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration pipelines to uphold code quality and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software development experience, primarily in Java (or comparable object‑oriented language).
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservice architecture, and cloud services (AWS EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, etc.).
- Proficiency with SQL and data modeling for high‑volume transactional workloads.
- Experience building, deploying, and monitoring production‑grade services at scale.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
