Software Development Engineer

About the Role

Our team at Epic Games is building high-leverage tools and services that are used by various teams throughout the company to build games, tools, and experiences, as well as by external partners. We're looking for an enthusiastic Software Development Engineer with a strong interest in game development, building tools, and helping other developers succeed.

What You'll Do

• Take ownership of entire product areas, from design and implementation to deployment and maintenance
• Deliver a consistently high level of quality on projects by contributing to design, implementation, testing, and documentation
• Collaborate with other engineers and product managers to identify new areas for improvement
• Work effectively with customers to understand their pain points and come up with new solutions
• Learn new domains and technologies quickly

What We're Looking For

• Strong C++ skills
• Passion for game development
• Experience building tools, frameworks, and pipelines for game development
• Experience with game engine development (Unreal Engine preferred)
• A team player with excellent communication skills
• Experience with Python is a plus
