About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated tools for cyber‑incident detection, analysis, and remediation.
- Collaborate with incident response teams to translate forensic findings into actionable software solutions.
- Write secure, high‑quality code in Python, C++, and Java, adhering to government security standards.
- Perform root‑cause analysis of breaches and implement mitigation strategies within existing systems.
- Support restoration of services by integrating patches, configuration changes, and monitoring enhancements.
Requirements
- Active U.S. government security clearance (Secret or higher).
- 3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a cybersecurity or incident response context.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and Java, with a strong emphasis on secure coding practices.
- Hands‑on experience with Linux operating systems and common security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS).
- Ability to work on‑site with government agencies, communicate technical findings clearly, and produce detailed documentation.
