Software Engineer
Mid‑level Software Developer to lead the transition from Scrum to SAFe, design secure application environments, and maintain delivery continuity for a government IT client.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
Lead the operational transition from team‑level Scrum to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) 6.0, ensuring alignment with government standards.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, architect, and implement a secure application development environment (ADV) that accelerates delivery while maintaining compliance.
Establish SAFe practices, structures, and governance, including program boards, PI planning, and cadence synchronization.
Provide coaching and mentorship to development teams on Agile principles, SAFe ceremonies, and continuous improvement.
Monitor and report on program health, risks, and metrics, driving corrective actions to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
Requirements
3+ years of software development experience in a government or regulated environment.
Hands‑on experience with Scrum and SAFe implementation, including PI planning and ART coordination.
Strong knowledge of secure application development practices and architecture design.
Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor teams on Agile and SAFe concepts.
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and related tooling.
