Mid‑senior software developer with active TS/SCI clearance, experienced in distributed systems, data streaming, and backend development using Python, Java, and C++ for DoD and Intelligence Community missions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services for intelligence‑community applications.
- Implement and optimize data‑streaming pipelines using technologies such as Apache Kafka, Flink, or similar.
- Architect scalable distributed systems that meet strict security and reliability requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams of engineers, analysts, and customers to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure mission‑critical availability.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance (or ability to obtain).
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with Python, Java, or C++.
- Proven expertise in building distributed, data‑intensive backend systems.
- Hands‑on experience with data‑streaming frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and secure DevOps practices.
