Write clean, efficient code and participate in code reviews to ensure quality standards are maintained and development skills are honed. Analyze code and identify bugs, using logical reasoning to resolve issues. Ability to seek guidance and feedback as needed. Consistently deliver code on schedule and adhere to established processes. Adhere to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary and professional manner. Work effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s Christian model and Mission – Training Champions for Christ.
Software Developer I
Complete individual assigned tasks effectively, ensuring deadlines are met with support from more senior developers Actively participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions, contributing ideas and feedback. Effectively communicate technical concepts and code changes to team members through documentation and verbal discussions in meetings. Clearly articulate challenges, follow instructions, ask for help when needed, and participate in team discussions. Take ownership of assigned tasks and demonstrate initiative by proactively tackling smaller tasks. Maintain notes on coding practices and project requirements, and individual tasks for clarity and accessibility, while learning and adhering to the team's documentation standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
Software Developer I
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, is required. Internship or coursework experience in software development is required. Back-End Technologies: Familiarity with fundamental programming concepts and at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Typescript or Java/Spring), and familiarity working with, and adding to, server-side APIs. Database Technologies: Familiarity with relational databases and queries (SQL). Front-End Technologies: Familiarity of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React or Angular). Basic Testing Skills: Knowledge of basic testing frameworks and methodologies (e.g., unit testing). Version Control Proficiency: Comfortable using Bitbucket or Git for version control and collaboration.
